Sparrows Training a leading provider of training for offshore crane and lifting operations, as well as being a leading UK hydraulics (formerly Aberdeen Hydraulics) training centre.

For over 30 years our client list has included many of the leading oil and gas operators and service providers from around the world, who continue to rely on Sparrows’ training expertise from each of our five global training centres, to ensure performance, competence and compliance standards are maintained in all their crane, lifting and hydraulics operations. Our internationally recognised training programmes in the UK and the USA allow both employer and employee to benefit from the extensive development each trainee experiences while progressing towards their full career potential.  We also have a significant take up of training programmes by self sponsors looking to break into the oil and gas industry.

Whenever trainees attend a course, at any of our centres, they learn from offshore industry experts with significant field experience ensuring they achieve a level of expertise and safety awareness they can immediately apply to their working environment.

Our crane, lifting and hydraulics training is delivered from our facilities at Tyrebagger Training Centre (crane and lifting operations), or Foveran House (hydraulics), alternatively they can also be delivered from a location that suits you. All our courses are designed to deliver expert training to suit beginner, intermediate and experienced level.

A range of courses are accredited by OPITO for the UKCS and, in America, to API RP2D by the API Training provider programme (TPCP) as well as being recognised by the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC).

Whether a course is based at one of our two Aberdeen training facilities, for crane and lifting operations as well as hydraulics training, or taught at one of our three Louisiana training bases at Houma, Broussard, or Robert, Sparrows Training has the technical expertise to provide the best training solutions for the demands of your business.
