Sparrows’ experts undertake periodic crane inspection, to a developed scheme, allowing you to maximise uptime and plan outages to minimise operational impact.
Our experts have spent many years maintaining cranes; they know where to look and what to look for, past the superficial, identifying what is going to cause you a problem in the future.

Following his survey of the crane(s), the Sparrows crane inspector generates a report which is made available over the internet, enabling easy access and visibility over a given population of cranes from wherever you may be.

Sparrows’ unique web based Crane Condition Evaluation reports present a traffic light warning, highlighting essential maintenance that needs to be carried out now and that which can be planned for your next maintenance trip. The report is checked and analysed by an Engineer, who can advise on and organise remedial maintenance.

The Engineer can also prepare a Written Scheme of Examination (WSE) for your lifting equipment which, if followed, provides a means of demonstrating that the right inspections and maintenance are being carried out at the right time to ensure continued safe operation and integrity. A WSE is particular to your crane or lifting equipment, not a general piece of legislation – so no maintenance for the sake of maintenance.

Crane Condition Database

This Crane Condition Database contains detailed inspection and condition reports covering scores of clients’ cranes at locations all over the world. The database is interactive, providing clients with at-a-glance information on the most recent crane condition survey status, wherever the client is, wherever the crane is.
