Pipe and Cable Lay Systems

Sparrows Baricon can deliver turnkey projects comprising entire lay-systems, or can deliver system components separately. Due to our focus on continual improvement and strong customer care ethic we always attempt to ensure we offer the most suitable, cost effective solution required.

At the turnkey level, projects have included the design and supply of the system for ISU Laying Operations for the Seaway Condor (pictured), including the Carousel, Tensioner, Vertical and Basket Spooling Systems, Straightener, Over-boarding A-Frame, work platform and two working gantries.

Similarly, for McDermott Caspian Contractors Inc, operating in support of BP in Baku, Baricon designed and supplied not only the complete offshore lay system but also the onshore spooling and transport-to-field systems.
