Sparrows Offshore LLC wins prize at LAGCOE

Sparrows beat stiff competition to win 3rd place for ‘best outdoor exhibit’ at LAGCOE (Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exhibition), which took place in Lafayette 27th-29th October.  Graham Thomson, President and Chief Operating Officer, is pictured receiving the award from LAGCOE officials on behalf of the Sparrows team.

The colourful outdoor exhibit focused on promoting Energy Cranes manufacturing and engineering services and showcased the EC12K crane, a cost effective solution designed to handle small scale mechanical handling needs on manned or unmanned offshore installations.

Products from partner companies Reflex Marine and Stahl were also on display - the Reflex marine TORO, a crane assisted personnel transfer unit for 4 passengers offers advanced passenger protection with fast and efficient transfer and Stahl Crane Systems’ wire rope and chain hoists, which are designed to withstand gas and dust explosions.

Sparrows also had an indoor exhibit area represented by key personnel from the crane services, rental, parts, and training divisions.

LAGCOE follows the OTC in Houston as the second largest petroleum exhibition in the USA and runs every two years in Lafayette. This year, the event played host to over 16,000 visitors and reached an all time record of over 400 different exhibits.
